Voting Information

Here is some helpful information to make sure you're prepared:

• Register to Vote — Register to vote or confirm your voter registration at lavote.gov's registration page. You must register by Monday, October 19, 2026 to be eligible to vote in the November 3 General Election.
• Receiving and Tracking Your Mail-in Ballot — All registered voters will receive a ballot by mail. Ballots begin mailing on October 5, and for more information on voting by mail, tracking your ballot, ensuring your vote was received and counted, getting a replacement ballot and more, see lavote.gov's vote by mail page.
• NEW and IMPORTANT Deadline for Mail-In Ballots — If you are voting by mail, it is critical that you mail in your ballot, or drop it off at the post office, no later than Tuesday, October 27. New postal processing practices mean that some mail may not receive a same-day postmark, which could delay your ballot. Mailing in your ballot early will ensure your ballot is received and your vote is counted.
• Dropbox Locations — The safest place to drop your mail-in ballot is an Official Dropbox. Input your address here to find the closest dropbox!
• In-Person Voting — You can also still vote in person if preferred. Vote centers are expected to begin opening Saturday, October 24, with additional centers opening closer to Election Day. Hours of operation are 7 AM – 8 PM. Input your address here to find the closest in-person vote center!
• Military and Overseas Voting — If you are an eligible Military & Overseas voter, see lavote.gov's military & overseas page for more information about the process to ensure your ballot is counted.
